Congratulations are in order for Ryan Murphy and David Miller!
The American Horror Story creator and his husband surprised fans with some great news on Instagram, announcing they recently welcomed their third child together. Oh, and we already have a name. Murphy wrote Murphy wrote, "Griffin Sullivan Miller Murphy. August 18, 6 pounds 13 ounces."
The newborn is pictured in a striped onesie, being fed by Murphy's other two sons, Logan Phineas, 7, and Ford, 5. Understandably, the surprise announcement garnered tons of praise and heart emojis from famous friends. Sharon Stone wrote, "Congratulations what a beautiful family," and Julie Bowen said, "Huzzah! 3 is the magic number!" Glee's Chord Overstreet also joined in to add, "Congrats Ryan!!!" Meanwhile, Empire actress Gabourey Sidibe left a string of red heart emojis.
The Emmy-award winning director welcomed his first child, Logan, on Christmas Eve in 2012 and became a dad for the second time in 2014, after he welcomed Ford via surrogate. Ford was previously diagnosed with cancer in 2018, but thankfully, after a successful surgery, he is now cancer free.
While speaking about his experiences as a dad with Entertainment Tonight, Murphy explained that he encourages his sons to have a "very strong sense of imagination." He also revealed that when it comes to his kids, he's the biggest softie. He said, "I thought I was going to be the great disciplinarian, completely rigid, and I am shocked to tell you that I am the opposite. I am the biggest pushover.” You're not alone, Ryan.
