Reese Witherspoon and Her Mom Are Practically Twins in Revealing Family Photos

As if we needed any more proof that good genes run in the the family, Reese Witherspoon recently shared a heartwarming tribute on Instagram for her mom's birthday, including throwback pictures that will honestly make you do a double take.

In addition to a recent selfie, the Little Fires Everywhere star included an old newspaper clipping of her mom, Betty, working as a nurse and a photo of her nursing student ID card from The Medical Units of the University of Tennessee. On the student ID, Betty looks like she could literally pass for Reese's twin sister. And of course, we couldn't help but recall all the times that Witherspoon's own daughter, Ava Phillippe, looked exactly like her. With their striking similarities, we're willing to bet that Ava's future daughter will also turn out to be a carbon copy of the three ladies.

To further honor of her mother's birthday and her work in the nursing field, Witherspoon shared her gratitude by highlighting her mom's efforts. She also used this opportunity to celebrate all medical workers who are currently making an impact during the pandemic.

She wrote: "Happy Birthday to my mom, Betty! No one makes me laugh & smile like her. I love this photo of her as a young nurse just starting out... and with a great nurse hat might I add. Shout out to all the nurses out there! She also taught nursing for 30 years at @tennstateu... I always wonder how many of her nursing students are out in the world helping people. Mom always said a life of serving others is the best life to have. I agree. Love you Mom! Have the best Birthday! I will be there to hug you so soon!"
