Reese Witherspoon Gave Her Daughter, Ava, the Most Touching 18th Birthday Present

Sure, Reese Witherspoon could shower her daughter, Ava, with loads of materialistic gifts for her 18th birthday, but instead, the Wrinkle in Time star opted for something much more sentimental. 

Witherspoon presented her daughter with a bundle of 18 letters—one written on each birthday since Ava was born—to celebrate her coming of not-a-girl-not-yet-a-woman age. Ava shared an Instagram photo of her mother’s meaningful gift and captioned it, “18 letters that made me cry (hard) today, courtesy of my lovely mother.” We’re not crying, YOU’RE crying.

Witherspoon took a trip down memory lane on her own Instagram, first sharing a throwback photo of her and baby girl-cum-mommy's-twin, Ava. Witherspoon captioned the photo, “Happy 18th Birthday to my sweet girl @avaphillippe! Your kindness, grace, intelligence and humor never cease to amaze me. I love you and your HUGE [heart] and I feel so lucky that I get to be your mom.” America's sweetheart, everybody. 

The Draper James founder also shared a more recent photo of her gorgeous daughter, captioned, “#18.”
