Rebel Wilson, 42, may have found her (pitch) perfect partner in girlfriend Ramona Agruma, 38, but the two are not ready to tie the knot just yet.
Late last night, November 4, Us Weekly broke the news that the couple had gotten engaged, and a source told them that Wilson was “wildly happy.” However, it turns out that this source may have been misinformed.
In a new Instagram Story, the Bridesmaids actress confirmed that she and Agruma are *not* engaged (at least not yet).
While taking a visit to Disneyland, the couple stopped to film a video for Wilson's Story, where the Hustle star wrote, “Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged!” In the clip, Wilson and Agruma don matching sunglasses, and they smile for the camera as they pose in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
According to People, the pair first met back in December 2021, through a mutual friend. Wilson told the publication, “We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense—very romantic.” Then they became official on January 2022.
They publicly announced their relationship back in June, when Wilson shared a selfie with the L.A.-based fashion designer and wrote, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”
Although they may not be engaged, that doesn't mean there won't be wedding bells in the future.
A source told People, “It's a very serious relationship, and they're super happy together. It's been very cool for Rebel's friends to see her this secure with someone.”
Wilson has also continued to share sweet photos with her partner, like one she posted back in October, where she wrote, “Date night at @alexisrael ‘s 40th! [star emoji].”
