Queen Letizia’s Optical Illusion Dress Is So Céline Dion

Céline Dion made headlines recently when she wore a dress that essentially made her into a walking optical illusion. Well, Queen Letizia of Spain must have been taking note because she just stepped out in a sartorial autostereogram of her own.

The 46-year-old queen attended the Fundeu BBVA Advisory Board meeting in Madrid yesterday wearing a black-and-white Hugo Boss midi dress with an A-line skirt and cap sleeves that highlighted her exceptionally toned arms. (We’d love to know her workout routine, TBH.) The dress is a royal re-wear for Letizia, who has donned it three times before.

As you’ll notice above, the dress’s striped pattern shape shifts if you look at it too long, but headaches aside, it’s super cute. Hugo Boss is a go-to for Letizia, who gravitates toward polished classics with a twist.

Queen Letizia accessorized the boardroom chic look with two more repeats:  the Furla Metropolis mini crossbody bag in petalo with gold hardware ($298), which she wore as a clutch, and black Carolina Herrera suede sling-back heels. She wore the same style pumps in navy earlier this week, and while the exact black version she wore is sold out, there is a similar style ($376) still available.

As usual, the queen wore her shiny brown locks down in a bouncy blowout. But there was one element of her ensemble (other than the optical illusion) that really caught our eye.

Queen Letizia added a surprising outfit detail by way of some extremely cool white gold and diamond ear climbers (above). The Gold and Roses Double Daga earrings ($2,386) are apparently fashioned after the daggers of Arab warriors and look the optimal amount of edgy when worn with such a lady-like dress.

The queen has done it again.
