Queen Elizabeth Gave Prince Philip the Coolest Anniversary Gift Ever

Queen Elizabeth made sure her 70th wedding anniversary with Prince Philip was a knight to remember with a gift only the royal highness could give.

For their milestone, the 91-year-old romantic gifted her hubby with a new title to add to his already lengthy moniker: the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO). According to the royal family’s Twitter account, “Awards in the Royal Victorian Order are made personally by The Queen, for services to the Sovereign.”

What, we wonder, are these “services”? Does Prince Philip do dishes or give foot rubs?

Regardless, the 96-year-old Duke of Edinburgh’s new title makes him the only living U.K. citizen with four knighthoods.

It’s official: Prince Philip is Queen Elizabeth’s knight in shining armor. Swoon.
