It's not every day that we get to see Prince William in stitches—but we got a special treat this past weekend, when ITV aired footage of the prince, 41, laughing non-stop at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

The star-studded event, which took place at London's Royal Albert Hall, included a funny set by English comedian Tom Allen, and no one seemed to enjoy it more than Prince William. In fact, the royal was seen chuckling so hard that he had to wipe a few tears away. One fan posted a short clip of his reactions on Twitter and wrote, "Prince William crying with laughter at Tom Allen on Royal Variety Show."

In the video, the prince doubles over in laughter and claps as Allen delivers a few jokes about online shopping. One fan responded, "It's the leg stomping for me." Another wrote, "Lovely to see Prince William in absolute hysterical laughter. He is going to be an amazing king one day."

Not surprisingly, William wasn't the only one who burst into fits of laughter. During the ceremony, Princess Catherine was also seen chuckling beside her husband.

Body language expert Darren Stanton told The Mirror, "Kate and William's laughter is completely genuine. William touched his tie briefly, and while this can be a gesture of reassurance, William may have done this as he was feeling nervous with the attention being on him."

Stanton continued, "But Kate's presence by his side put him at ease, as the nerves didn’t take over. Apart from that, they both really enjoyed themselves."

This year, the prince and princess were joined by the Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden. And in addition to Allen, the royals got to enjoy comedy from Rosie Jones, Ellie Taylor and Simon Brodkin and Britain’s Got Talent winner, Viggo Venn.

The ceremony also featured performances by Cher, Hannah Waddingham, Rick Astley, Zara Larsson and Paloma Faith, along with the casts of The Lion King, Frozen and Beauty & the Beast, in honor of Disney's 100th anniversary.

Sounds like the prince and princess couldn't have asked for a more entertaining evening.
