See How the Royal Family Wished Prince William a Happy 37th Birthday Today

It’s been a fun-filled 37 years for Prince William

In honor of the Duke of Cambridge’s birthday today, the royal family highlighted his achievements with an Instagram slideshow—because if it didn’t happen on social media did it really even happen?

The palace shared a series of photos of Prince William throughout the years and included a rather formal note celebrating his milestone.

“Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge! #HappyBirthdayHRH,” the caption read. “The Duke of Cambridge is second in line to the throne. His Royal Highness undertakes a number of charitable activities and projects, and carries out public and official duties in support of The Queen, in the UK and overseas, alongside The Duchess of Cambridge. Find out more about The Duke’s life and work @kensingtonroyal” Pretty, um, straightforward, right?

The slideshow kicks off with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth gazing at him adoringly while he speaks to someone off camera. Then, it continues with a photo of baby Prince William and his kinda creepy mouse stuffed animal. Next, we see a photo of the full Cambridge family, including Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, at this year’s Trooping the Colour. After that, there’s a photo of the prince and his Gan-Gan at Trooping the Colour when he was a teen, a pic from his Royal Air Force days, one of him cracking jokes with the queen and the Duchess of Cambridge and, last but not least, a pic of him giving Queen Elizabeth a tour of a helicopter hanger.

We can all agree that whoever picked out these pics deserves a pat on the back from the queen herself. Happy birthday, William!
