Kate Middleton and Prince William Reportedly Had a Secret Meeting After Monday's Royal Banquet

Our love of the royals doesn't stop at closed doors, so when we heard the Cambridges held a private audience this week, we had to do a bit of digging.

Reportedly, according to the Court Circular via Hello! magazine and The London Times, Kate Middleton and Prince William met in private on Tuesday morning, just after Monday night's big state dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The duke and duchess, as joint patrons of The Royal Foundation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, received Sir Keith Mills and Ms Lorraine Heggessey in a secret meeting in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the Court Circular, aka the royal family's official record of events.

Sir Mills is the chairman of the Fab Four's Royal Foundation (as well as chairman of Prince Harry's Invictus Games Foundation), while Heggessey is CEO of the Royal Foundation. The meeting makes the recent news—that Markle and Harry are reportedly splitting off from the Fab Four in a professional capacity by exiting their roles in the Royal Foundation—seem all but official.

The privacy around this sorta thing is typical, though, since the working royals usually meet behind closed doors to discuss their upcoming and ongoing projects, patronages and charity work.

But, that doesn't make this news that the Royal Foundation's Fab Four leadership is splitting up hurt any less.
