The Palace Just Released Brand-New Portraits of Prince Louis Captured By Kate Middleton in Honor of His First Birthday

It’s hard to believe, but Prince Louis turns 1 today. And, as is tradition with any royal birthday, Kensington Palace just released several portraits of the prince in honor of his special day. But that’s not all: This little special delivery comes straight from Kate Middleton’s camera to our screens.

Yep, the 37-year-old Duchess of Cambridge captured Prince Louis’s official portraits, and needless to say, they’re spectacular. Kensington Palace shared them via social media in celebration of Louis’s big day.

It’s been months since we last got a glimpse at Prince Louis, and true to his mom’s word, he’s sporting a few new teeth. He also bears a striking resemblance to his dad, Prince William, not to mention his siblings, Prince George (5) and Princess Charlotte (3). And we’d be remiss not to call out his impeccable sweater and button-down combo game. (Who doesn’t love a puppy?)

In another post, the palace shared a slideshow of the little prince playing in the forest surrounding his family’s country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, England. According to the caption, the photos were taken earlier this month by the duchess.

This isn’t the first time Middleton has shown off her photography skills, but it is the first time she’s worked Prince Louis into her photography fold since his inaugural portraits became available last May.

Suffice it to say, Prince Louis is growing up far too fast for our own comfort level. Before you know it he’ll be off to nursery school with his forthcoming cousin, Baby Sussex. In the meantime, we’ll be ogling those chubby cheeks.

Happy birthday, little dude!
