Prince Harry Appears in New Invictus Games Trailer (But It Features an Even Bigger Surprise Cameo)

Ready, set, go!

The international sporting competition known as the Invictus Games has just released its official trailer for the upcoming year on social media. The IG page dedicated to the event shared the short teaser and athletes took center stage as they played games of ping pong.

Watching the video, royal fans may have been taken by surprise when the founder himself, Prince Harry, made a special appearance and competed in a friendly match of his own. Even though the Duke of Sussex lost the game in less than three seconds (well…at least he tried), he was just happy to play against such a talented opponent.

Towards the end of the teaser, the slogan “Be Part of It” appears before Harry walks off. But before the video cuts out, viewers got one more surprise when the duke returned to the ping pong table to compete against his wife, Meghan Markle. The trailer concludes with both of them smiling at each other as they get ready to play a game together.

The caption for the trailer read: “Are you ready? The incredible experience that is the #InvictusGames is coming ever closer. Be a part of it to experience the power of sport in recovery in Dusseldorf 9-16 Sept 2023. Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are now available!”

Every year, the Invictus Games brings wounded servicemen and women together to compete on an international stage in various events, such as basketball, swimming, tennis and more. This year, the tournament took place in The Netherlands on April 16 and came to an end on April 22. And for 2023, the sporting competition will kick off in Düsseldorf, Germany.
