Charge Your Kindle: A New Mindy Kaling Essay Collection Is Headed to Amazon

Mindy Kaling is a busy woman. In addition to Late Night, her new movie with Emma Thompson, the actress and writer is also adapting the 1994 rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral for streaming giant Hulu, developing a ten-episode series about her life with Netflix and starring opposite Priyanka Chopra in an upcoming rom-com about an Indian wedding.

Somehow, she's also managed to work on a new collection of essays for Amazon, and we cannot wait to download it.

In an Instagram post, Kaling wrote, "It’s so exciting for me to share the secrets of how I balance being a professional writer, actor, and single mom in a new collection of essays I’m writing through @amazonpublishing. I mean, it would be so exciting to share those secrets. I don’t have them. Like, not even close. This morning I bribed my baby with a remote control to get my car keys back. But I do have funny stories about my life and I can’t wait for you to read them."

According to Amazon, the collection will include "essays on life as a single mom, movie star and everybody's imaginary best friend." (We're totally guilty of that last one.) It will be available next summer.

Kaling has already written two laugh-out-loud funny books: 2011's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? and 2015's Why Not Me?Both tackle achingly relatable subjects like how to be a good friend and how to handle career turning points, all with the star's trademark wit.

Plus, as if the prospect of new Mindy content wasn't enough, the essays will be available for free with Amazon Prime and Kindle Unlimited.

Umm...can it be next summer already?
