Remember that classic childhood rhyme—“First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage”? Well, it looks like Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are following that timeline to a T. It’s been a little over a year since the pair tied the knot, and now, congrats are in order: they’re officially parents!

The Stranger Things star, 21, and the son of music legend Jon Bon Jovi, 23, shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, August 21. Keeping things minimal and meaningful, the announcement featured a cream-colored background with a small tree illustration and a heartfelt message: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.”

The post continued, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.” It was signed, “Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

Since the announcement, fans have resurfaced a moment from earlier this year that now feels extra relevant. Back in March, during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Millie revealed a surprising personal plan tied to motherhood: shaving her head.

“I always tell Jake like for my first baby I want to shave my hair off,” Millie, who rocked a buzzcut for her role as Eleven in Stranger Things, said. “I don't know I just feel like it was really liberating. I would suggest it for anyone, any girl.”

She continued, “Maybe like right before I’m about to give birth because I just think like hair is such an ordeal anyway to deal with… I'm going to like nurture my child, why like deal with my hair.”

“I think it's such a liberating experience. I felt like I had that experience as a girl, but I'd like to have that experience as a woman,” she added.

No shaved heads (yet), but major congratulations to the new parents!
