Meghan Markle Just Upped the Thigh-High Slit Ante
Don’t get us wrong. Ankle-length coats and printed dresses are gorgeous and all, but Meghan Markle’s best maternity styling trick hands down is throwing in a thigh-high slit. She rocked one on Fraser Island, two in Tonga and today she stepped out with yet another.
The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex made it a night to remember at the Endeavour Fund Awards at Drapers’ Hall in London today thanks to a sleek black Givenchy wrap skirt with a substantial slit.
Not surprisingly, Markle rocked the Givenchy skirt with aplomb. She finished off her award show look with a Givenchy white button-down shirt, a glam pair of black Aquazzura pointed-toe mules with gold strappy detailing at the ankle and a black silk clutch with a gold statement clasp.
It was a polished ensemble with equal measures of class and sex appeal that reminded us of a more formal version of the ripped jeans and white button-down look she rocked the first time she and Prince Harry stepped out together back in 2017.
Unlike her loose-fitting Misha Nonoo “Husband” shirt at the 2017 Invictus Games, however, Markle’s leggy Givenchy piece was form-fitting, expertly tailored and highlighted her baby bump beautifully.
Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child together in late April or early May and have been stacking up royal engagements before settling into new parenthood.
Here’s to many more date nights out before their little bump arrives.
