She may be currently inundated with baby gifts (including little knit booties), but for now, royal mama-to-be Meghan Markle is rocking her own boots...and they're definitely a departure from Meghan Markle's signature style.

The Duchess of Sussex touched down in the U.S. this weekend (there's no place like home). After a day out in NYC, Markle was spotted going out to dinner with her celeb friends at Ralph Lauren's Polo Bar wearing black faux calf-hair boots by Tamara Mellon. (And ooh, they're Italian.)
Markle also wore a blue Victoria Beckham coat, Hatch maternity jeans and carried a black vegan leather Stella McCartney Falabella tote. But nothing can top these statement boots (which seem to have a velvety sheen, at least in photos). Although we already know the duchess has a thing for cow prints, the faux calf-hair look is totally new to Markle's style arsenal.

Earlier in the day, at what was rumored to be her own baby shower in NYC's Upper East Side, Markle was spotted wearing an all-black ensemble. Friends like her BFF stylist Jessica Mulroney, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Amal Clooney, Misha Nonoo and Markle's Suits co-star Abigail Spencer were all reportedly invited. The duchess and her friends celebrated her first child, due in late April or early May.

Meghan Markle donned sunglasses and a black quarter-sleeve peacoat as she cradled her baby bump during her arrival at The Mark Hotel for her "baby shower" (though, the event may actually be taking place today at the same hotel...so secretive). She paired the look with a Carolina Herrera Matryoshka Locked L Shoulder Bag and Hatch Maternity black skinny jeans ($248). The trip to the Big Apple marks the first time Markle has returned to the States since her wedding to Prince Harry.
Oversize sunnies, black hair-covered boots and all of her celeb besties? The mama-to-be is truly living her best life, even while seven-months pregnant.
