Meghan Markle Is Back in the U.S.! The Duchess of Sussex Celebrates Baby Shower in NYC

Welcome back, Meghan Markle!

The Duchess of Sussex arrived stateside this weekend to attend her baby shower with her American friends and family, according to People.

Markle touched down in NYC on Friday for a long President's Day weekend with friends. The top-secret trip to the U.S. comes after Prince Harry and Markle spent a quiet Valentine's Day evening together after Harry returned from training with the Royal Marines in the Arctic Circle on February 14.

The seven-months-pregnant duchess was spotted with BFF Jessica Mulroney at macaron and tea room Laudrée in Soho on Saturday, and was spotted on Monday evening wearing a navy Victoria Beckham coat and tweed newsboy cap while hopping into an SUV. She was escorted by a plain-clothes officer, according to The Daily Mail.

Today, the duchess will celebrate her first child, due in late April or early May, with a baby shower at an "Upper East Side hotel," with 15 of her closest friends, per the Mail. So Gossip Girl of you, Your Highness.

This is the first trip to the U.S. since Markle and Harry tied the knot in May (and hopefully the first of many). 

This weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex depart for a two-day royal visit to Morocco.  No word yet on which part of the Arabic-speaking country they’ll stay in (the palace said “full details of the visit will be announced in due course”) but our fingers are crossed for the markets of Marrakech and the aquamarine coast of Casablanca. And here’s lookin’ at you, kids. (Sorry, couldn’t help ourselves.)

Yep, Markle is a royal-mama-to-be jetsettter (and baby Sussex has been on more vacations than we've been on this entire year...).
