We've all gone through that childhood phase of rocking the most awkward haircut, and Kristen Bell knows the feeling all too well.
On Instagram, the Veronica Mars alum shared a throwback pic of her younger self sporting an '80s mullet haircut and it's giving us all the nostalgia. Bell captioned the post, "Happy Mullet Monday from 1988."
In the pic, Bell is all smiles as she poses in her red and yellow shirt—and it's worth noting that her face looks exactly the same. One commenter wrote, "Only you could pull off a mullet this well."
Some fans may find the snap familiar, since this isn't the first time that it's popped up. Back in 2016, when Bell appeared on The Late Late Show, James Corden revealed the exact same photo after he and Bell discussed her experience as a baseball player on an all-boys team. As it turns out, this haircut actually helped her fit in with the guys.
Bell said, "My mother made sure that I wouldn’t take any flak from anybody, because she gave me a real disastrous haircut. Because what she did to make sure I fit in, was, she took the bangs past the ear, past the forehead, past the ear, all the way down to the back, which I believe we now call a mullet. I was one of the first. So I never had any problems because everyone thought I was one of the little boys."
Given how well Bell managed to pull off this look, we totally wouldn't mind seeing a current day version...just sayin'.
