Kerry Washington Dances in Church on the Set of Her New Series, ‘Reasonable Doubt’

Kerry Washington is not only a stellar actress—while the 44-year-old is known for her roles in hit shows like Scandal and Little Fires Everywhere, she has also been spending more time in the director's chair the past few years.

In 2018, Washington directed one of the final episodes of Scandal, and she has also directed a couple of episodes for Insecure. Now, the star is working behind-the-scenes of a new Hulu series titled Reasonable Doubt, where she will act as an executive producer and direct the pilot of the series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the legal drama will center around Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi), a “lawyer with questionable ethics and wild interpretations of the law—who’s also the most brilliant and fearless defense attorney in Los Angeles and bucks the justice system every chance she gets.”

It appears that part of the first episode will take place in a church, because Washington showed herself dancing inside one, while holding a clapperboard. “A Director prepares…#ReasonableDoubt goes to CHURCH,” she said in the caption.

As Washington danced in the clip, an audio played that was taken from an episode of Family Feud, where a contestant chanted “Holy spirit activate” over and over while clapping her hands.

Fellow celebs loved the video, like Insecure actress Yvonne Orji, who said, “He activated!! Lol.” Robin Thede commented, “This is why I love you.”

Washington has been sharing a few BTS moments from the set of Reasonable Doubt. Prior to her dancing vid, the actress posted a photo of herself with another, smaller clapperboard. She wrote, “And we’re rolling. #ReasonableDoubt DAY 1.”

If the show is as good as Kerry's BTS videos, then we will certainly be content.
