Kate Middleton & Prince William Wish Baby Archie a Happy Birthday on Instagram with Throwback Photo

They may not be able to celebrate baby Archie’s big day in person, but Kate Middleton and Prince William are sending their love and birthday sentiments from across the pond.

Early Wednesday morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared well-wishes for their nephew’s first birthday on the official Kensington Palace Instagram. The royal couple posted a portrait from Archie's christening, which was taken last summer in Windsor Castle's Green Drawing Room (this really feels like it was just yesterday).“Wishing Archie a very happy first birthday today!” they captioned the post.

In the photograph, we see Kate and Will, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Meghan's mother Doria and two of Princess Diana's siblings, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

The Cambridges aren’t the only members of the royal family sending some love to the birthday boy. Charles and Camilla also shared a post in honor of the milestone, as well as Her Majesty (aka Gan-Gan).

However, Meghan and Harry gifted us with the best birthday surprise of all—sweet footage of their son in a video taken for Save the Children U.K.'s #SaveWithStories campaign. In the clip, which was shot by Prince Harry, we see the duchess reading the children's book Duck! Rabbit! to her one-year-old as he sits on her lap.

Happy birthday, Archie! We hope your day is full of Zoom chats and more story time with mom.
