It takes a special type of person to look incredible even in gloomy, rainy conditions. Kate Middleton, unsurprisingly, is one such person. The Duchess of Cambridge, 43, was spotted today in Wilmslow, England, walking beneath an umbrella and looking as chic as ever.

The outing was a visit to HMP Styal, a prison and young offender institution that houses a unit run by one of Catherine’s charities, Action for Children. According to its website, Action for Children's vision is "that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive."
People reports that this particular visit was to see a mother and baby unit, highlighting the critical need to maintain strong and loving relationships for a child even in the most challenging situations.

The facility, located nearly 200 miles outside of London, houses around 400 women ages 18 and over, and while there, the princess met with prisoners currently in the unit, visited an on-site nursery for babies and children living with their moms at the prison and met with staff and former residents of the prison, per Kensington Palace.

For the visit, the royal opted for a muted ensemble that featured a burgundy turtleneck (very on trend) underneath an ankle-length double-breasted coat in a brownish plaid. She completed the look with brown suede boots with a heel and pointed toe (also popular right now).
Keep up the important work, Kate.
