Stepping out publicly for the first time since announcing via video that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment, Kate Middleton was pictured in the car over the weekend alongside her husband Prince William en route to Crathie Kirk Church near Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The occasion was royal routine (Kate was seen at Crathie Kirk Church over the summer, too) but so was her style. After all, Kate once again leaned on her go-to dark brown Suffolk Fedora from Hicks & Brown.

It's becoming one of her signature looks
It’s a look that’s become a staple in her royal closet—Kate was pictured wearing it in en route to the same church in August last year, according to the Daily Mail. She’s also no stranger to this particular style of hat having chosen versions of the fedora from various brands for a number of royal occasions over the years including another church walk in 2020 and her 10-year wedding anniversary video. (Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, is also a fan of the fedora, just like Kate.)
Of course, sightings of the Princess of Wales have become increasingly rare ever since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March of this year. In her video announcement shared in early September, she made it clear that she is “doing what she can to stay cancer-free” and said she’d be pacing herself as she makes the effort to return to her typical schedule of royal work.
Fedora or not, it was great to catch a glimpse of her out and about.
