Jonathan Van Ness Just Introduced the World to His New Husband (& Even Revealed How They Met)

There’s no denying that 2020 was a rough year. But for Jonathan Van Ness, there was one positive thing that made it a “year unlike any other”—he got married.

Last week, the 33-year-old shared a post reflecting on 2020 and while he was casually discussing some of his favorite moments in the lengthy caption, he also casually mentioned that he secretly tied the knot with a man named Mark Peacock. “I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with,” part of the post read. Lucky for us, he even shared a sweet photo from the wedding day (scroll through the slideshow below).

Of course, family, friends and fans immediately began to share their love and congratulations in the comments section of the post. Many followers even asked for the Queer Eye star to share more details about the couple’s relationship, to which he replied with another slideshow that told the story of how they met.

“We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates whilst I was on a comedy tour,” Van Ness wrote in the caption. “At the end of that time I was taking my mom, aunt & friends on a mini break to Amsterdam. I wanted @marklondon to come with but, was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple of weeks worth’s of dates to come meet my mom & and friends on a mini break? Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same.”

He continued, “Here’s some of my favorite moments together and here’s to making many more. Thanks so much for your support and love for us!! Love y’all!!”
