On Wednesday, Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee announced the news of their engagement in matching Instagram posts. And one day later, the actress gave followers a special look into her baby shower (where the proposal took place).
Dewan shared a slideshow of behind-the-scenes photos from the special day on Instagram, including shots of the food, stunning décor and even some sweet snaps that included her 6-year-old daughter Everly, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum.
“Can honestly say that this was one of the best days of my life and if I had a choice to relive any day over and over it would be THIS. (And the birth of evie of course) The best blessingway I could ever have imagined,” she captioned the post.
According to E! News, Dewan had absolutely no clue that Kazee was going to get down on one knee. “She had no idea what was coming and thought the day was a celebration for the baby. Steve surprised her in front of all of her friends with an engagement ring and proposal at the shower. It was extra special that Jenna's closest friends were there to share in the moment,” a source said. “He gave a beautiful speech and everyone was very emotional and teary eyed. Jenna was completely shocked by the surprise and totally elated.”
Some of the lucky guests in attendance were Kimberly Van Der Beek, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Odette Annable, Stacy Keibler and Nikki Reed (who even helped design the gorgeous ring).
Last month, the former Step Up star shared a stunning series of photos from a pregnancy shoot with Elizabeth Messina (who also took all of the couple's engagement and baby shower photos).
