HBO Just Made Tons of Its Programming Available to Stream Free as Part of #StayHomeBoxOffice

HBO wants you to stay home during this coronavirus pandemic. And to make things easier and more entertaining, the company is offering free streaming of tons of its content.

The creator of shows like Game of Thrones and The Sopranos revealed the news in a tweet on Friday, writing, “For those who need to stay home, let’s stay entertained. These shows and more are now available for free without an HBO subscription.”

According to the website, viewers can watch some of HBO’s most popular shows, documentaries and movies entirely for free for the month of April. Some series included are The Sopranos, Succession, The Wire, Barry and True Blood, while films include Crazy. Stupid. Love., Blinded by the Light and Arthur.

However, HBO isn’t giving away everything for free. Several of its most popular shows will still require a subscription to watch, including Game of Thrones, Westworld, Big Little Lies, Euphoria and Chernobyl.

For the remainder of the month, HBO GOHBO NOW and on Demand will display a new row that says, “Stream for Free: No Subscription Required,” where you can find hundreds of hours of content to keep you occupied.
