‘While I’m Livin’ by Tanya Tucker Named Best Country Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards

The Grammys just announced the winner of a highly coveted honor.

Tonight, the 62nd annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. During the non-televised ceremony, Tanya Tucker took home the award for Best Country Album for While I’m Livin’

The artist beat out Desperate Man by Eric Church, Stronger Than the Truth by Reba McEntire, Interstate Gospel by Pistol Annies and Center Point Road by Thomas Rhett.

At last year’s show, Kacey Musgraves took home the award in this category for Golden Hour (“Space Cowboy,” “Oh, What a World,” “Love Is a Wild Thing”). Musgraves was up against Unapologetically by Kelsea Ballerini, Port Saint Joe by Brothers Osborne, Girl Going Nowhere by Ashley McBryde and From a Room: Volume 2 by Chris Stapleton.

The Grammys first debuted the category in 1965. While the Dixie Chicks currently hold the record for most wins (four), previous recipients include From a Room: Volume 1 by Chris Stapleton, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth by Sturgill Simpson, Traveller by Chris Stapleton, Platinum by Miranda Lambert, Same Trailer Different Park by Kacey Musgraves, Uncaged by Zac Brown Band and Own the Night by Lady Antebellum.
