You Can Now Learn How to Play the Guitar (or Ukulele) for Free Online, Thanks to Fender

During this time of social distancing, one thing has become clear: We need more hobbies. Fender, the popular guitar company, wants to help us out.

The company recently revealed a new deal for those looking to learn to play guitar—free lessons. Yup, the first 100,000 users who create an account for Fender Play (their online learning platform), will get three months of free online classes.

And no, it’s not just for the guitar. Lessons are also available for electric guitar, bass and ukulele. Of course, you’ll need to provide your own instrument.

“With everything happening in the world, music has the power to connect us. We want to do our part to see you through—the way we know how,” the company wrote on its website. “We’re all going to be spending more time inside—so we might as well make some noise.” So. True.

Each video lesson is led by professionals and can be streamed at any time. Unlike traditional music classis, Fender Play teaches students by having them learn some of music’s most popular songs.

While we’re not sure exactly how many spots are still available, we recommend you act fast. Who knows? Maybe you’ll come out of this social distancing period with a really impressive new talent.

Happy jamming!
