You Have to See the Throwback Photo That Emma Watson Just Shared for J.K. Rowling’s Birthday

It’s officially been eight years since the last Harry Potter movie hit theaters. We know, it makes us feel *so* old, too. And in honor of writer and creator J.K. Rowling’s 54th birthday, Emma Watson shared a throwback photo on Instagram.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old actress—who played Hermione Granger in the HP films—posted a throwback Halloween snap of of herself alongside Rowling and Harry Potter actor Evanna Lynch.

"Sexy and scary! You smashed this. All the love to you Jo. Happy Birthday!!!!” Watson wrote alongside the post. “Extra points to @msevylynch for being the most perfect cat." In case you didn’t know, Jo stands for Joanne—Rowling’s real name.

In the photo, Watson is dressed as Wonder Woman. Rowling wore a black halter-neck dress and prosthetic makeup with a fake horn, and Lynch is, obviously, a cat (see caption above for reference).

Watson has starred in several films, her latest project is Greta Gerwig's Little Women (scheduled to release in 2020), which also stars Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Laura Dern and Timothée Chalamet.

Rowling has also remained busy working on the Fantastic Beasts films, turning HP into a play and publishing four more novels under pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

Good to see the friendship is still going strong, ladies.
