Charles Spencer has done it again and by done it again, I mean gifted the internet with another set of stunning Spencer family portraits. Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the 9th Earl Spencer and younger brother of the late Princess Diana shared three Victorian-era paintings with his followers.

“Three Spencer children from the 1890s—Jack (my grandfather), in sailor uniform; Cecil, in the slightly effeminate garb commonly worn by very young boys at the time; and Lavinia. All wonderfully Victorian,” he captioned the September 14 post. He also credited the artist as E. Taylor.

The portraits themselves are undeniably impressive and it's clear fans admired the photos by the plethora of heart emojis filling up the comments section. But there’s one detail that they cannot unsee: just how much Charles and Diana’s grandfather Jack resembles Prince George in his youth.

“Can we say, ‘Prince George’?!” one follower commented. Another added, “The Spencer genes are quite evident,” while a third simply wrote, “The first one looks exactly like Prince George!”

And this isn’t the first time fans have spotted a striking royal resemblance. Earlier this summer, Charles shared a set of charcoal portraits of other Spencer relatives, including a stunning close-up of their grandmother, Cynthia. The resemblance to Princess Diana? Uncanny.

From her soft features to her thoughtful expression, Cynthia looked like Diana’s twin. And the internet took notice.

“I can see Diana in your grandmother. So beautiful,” one follower wrote. Another echoed, “Your grandmother looks just like Diana, gorgeous.”

But the connection went far beyond appearances.

While describing the portrait Charles added, “[The artist] captures the soft kindness that I will always remember as the essence of my grandmother,” he shared.

Cynthia, once a close courtier to the Queen Mother, was beloved for her quiet strength and grace—qualities that Princess Diana clearly inherited in spades.
