Calling all Cowboy Casanovas! Carrie Underwood is teaming up with HBO Max for an upcoming holiday special. The subscription service announced the exciting news earlier today and confirmed the streamer will pay tribute to the singer’s very first Christmas album, My Gift. Keep reading for all the details.

1. When does it premiere?

Unfortunately, HBO Max hasn’t revealed an exact premiere date for the concert movie. (The actual album hits shelves on September 25.) However, the streaming platform did say the My Gift special will be released this holiday season, so ready thy eggnog.

2. How can I watch My Gift?

My Gift will be exclusively available on HBO Max. While it requires a login, you can always borrow one from a friend or family member (if they’re feeling generous).

3. What’s it about?

The movie will feature Underwood performing songs from My Gift alongside a live orchestra and choir. The record features a combination of classic holiday songs and original material, making it fun for the entire family.

4. What’s the inspiration behind My Gift?

Underwood recorded the holiday album shortly after concluding her Cry Pretty Tour in 2019. “The journey of writing and recording this album started last year when I finished my tour and we could have never anticipated the circumstances we would be in this year,” she said in a statement. “Creating this album has been good for my heart and I’m thrilled to get to share it with the world and to bring it to life with Playtone and HBO Max.”

Guess Christmas came early after all.
