Cardi B Is Making Her Big-Screen Debut Alongside J.Lo, Constance Wu & More

Cardi B is making money moves, and no, it has nothing to do with the music industry.

The 26-year-old rapper will make her big-screen debut in a brand-new movie called Hustlers. Cardi B will play an exotic dancer who teams up with her peers to “turn the tables” on their Wall Street clients, and it sounds right up her alley.

She’s joining an already star-studded cast, including Jennifer Lopez (Second Act), Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), Julia Stiles (Riviera) and Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King), all of whom will play exotic dancers.

The group will be led by J.Lo’s character, which—according to director Lorene Scafaria (Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist)—was a no-brainer.

“There is no other actor who could embody this raw and dynamic character with such complexity, humanity and intelligence,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s always been her. She’s f****** Jennifer Lopez.”

Although Hustlers will be Cardi B’s first movie, the role shouldn’t be a huge stretch for her, considering she stripped for three years prior to becoming a rapper.

It appears Lady Gaga has some competition for our favorite artist-turned-actress.
