Recently, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have been giving us some rare peeks into their home. In the past few weeks, the royal couple have offered followers glimpses of the Garden Room, where the couple lounges and welcomes visitors, as well as the Morning Room, where they host receptions and special guests.
Now, these royals are sharing another slice of their life, but this time it's coming from the kitchen. Instead of a house tour, the Duchess of Cornwall is revealing the recipe for her special Victoria Sponge cake.
“In celebration of the return of @poetry_together tea parties this year, The Duchess has shared her recipe for a Victoria Sponge for young and old(er!) alike to enjoy after reciting a poem by heart together,” they wrote on the Clarence House Instagram account. In the slideshow below, they posted a pic of the duchess holding her delicacy, followed by three slides that give instructions on the ingredients needed and the method for constructing the yummy dessert.
