Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles Are Celebrating an Anniversary (But it’s Not What You Think)

Just when we thought we’d covered every anniversary this week, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles surprised us with festivities of their own.

However, unlike the others (Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, for example), these two aren’t marking their relationship. Instead, they are celebrating the “10+1” anniversary of the Duke of Cornwall’s Countryside Fund. The organization, which was founded by the Prince of Wales back in 2010, is the only U.K.-wide charity that empowers family farms and rural communities to ensure their future.

To mark the special occasion and to launch the fund’s new Confident Rural Communities network, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall attended a reception at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery. Per the official Clarence House Instagram page, the initiative will bring together over 300 rural community organizations who have benefited from the charity’s program since its inception.

Lucky for us, the 72-year-old royal and his wife shared a variety of photos, which feature the couple walking through the nursery. There's also a video that shows Bowles using a massive knife to cut into a stunning floral cake that read, “The Princes’s Countryside Fund’s 10+1 Anniversary.”

After cutting a slice, the duchess grabs a tiny piece off of the bottom and quickly puts it in her mouth. And we weren’t the only ones who noticed, considering one follower commented on the post, writing, “The Duchess cutting the cake and having a nibble [heart eye emoji].”

While we’re on the topic of anniversaries, the duke and duchess celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary back in April. Unfortunately, due to the death of Prince Philip, the duo opted to nix any festivities.
