Camilla Parker Bowles Releases New Portrait & Offers Rare Glimpse of Her Garden

If you’ve ever wanted to see Prince Charles’s wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, in her natural habitat, you’ve come to the right place.

Over the weekend, the Duchess of Cornwall, 74, shared a never-before-seen portrait on the official Instagram page for her book club, The Reading Room. The pic features Bowles engaging in one of her favorite extracurricular activities: lounging with a book in her garden.

The picture (which was taken by professional photographer Jennifer Pattison) shows Bowles sitting on a wooden bench that’s surrounded by green foliage. The duchess is reading a book and wearing a blue patterned dress, which features a button-down front, long sleeves and a collared neckline.

According to Hello! magazine, Bowles is lounging in the gardens at Highgrove House, which is the residence she shares with her husband, Prince Charles. The caption read, “‘My idea of perfection is sitting in a garden on a lovely evening with a book’ — HRH The Duchess of Cornwall. What is your idea of book-ish perfection?”

Fans immediately flooded the comments section with heartfelt responses to the question. One person wrote, “My idea of perfection is a book with a cup of hot chocolate on a rainy day.” Another added, “Alone, beneath the trees, with a book, perhaps a Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s novel or an Agatha Christie’s novel: my book-ish perfection.” One follower commented, “Perfection = cuddled with a book and my pup [dog emoji]!”

BRB, penciling some much-needed reading time into our daily schedule.
