And just like that, Carrie Bradshaw is back with...Aidan?
It looks like Team Aidan fans can rejoice, because for the second season of HBO Max's And Just Like That..., John Corbett will reprise the role, and this could end up meaning that he and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) will become endgame.
Why do we think this? Well, a new series of photos were shared to the official AJLT Instagram account, where the caption read, “Shh. Don’t tell anyone.”
In the photos snapped by Craig Blankenhorn, Parker and Corbett's characters are seen walking down the New York City streets holding hands and getting *pretty* cozy. And in typical fashion, Carrie dons an eye-popping outfit.
Her look includes a lavender button-up dress paired with knee-high velour boots. Overtop of the dress, the protagonist is bundled up in a plaid jacket and a hot pink cape coat adorned with frills.
It was first confirmed that Corbett would be reprising his role as Aidan back in August 2022. In a news report from Deadline, they wrote, “Corbett is set for a substantial, multi-episode arc.” This confirmation came after months of the actor teasing that he might return to the Sex and the City universe, even though he never made a cameo in season one of And Just Like That...
Now, with these first photos of Aidan and Carrie together, it seems safe to say that there will at least be something romantic between the two of them (and now we're even more curious after those photos came out of Carrie in a wedding dress...).
The second season of the reboot will continue to follow the love lives of Carrie and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). Kristin Davis will also reprise her role as Charlotte, but we will only be seeing Samantha (Kim Cattrall) in the form of a text message cameo.
There is no official release date yet for season 2 of And Just Like That..., but we will be obsessively inspecting every inch of these new photos until then.
