Parents Are Now Able to Track Diaper Changes & Breastfeeding Schedules with Alexa

Amazon is doubling down on the baby business.

The retailer just announced it’s about to help make parents’ lives easier by upping the ante on Alexa baby skills. Now, we can all breathe easy (and maybe get a moment of peace and quiet).

With the push toward adding more skills, parents are now able to do miraculous things like track their children’s weight, diaper changes, nursing sessions, bottle feeds and sleep via the Alexa app and voice devices. So instead of arguing with your S.O. about who was on diaper duty last, you can just ask Alexa. That’s what we call a game changer.

Amazon is partnering with Shark Tank–featured startup Hatch Baby, which is responsible for the “Grow” connected baby changing mat and the “Rest” child sleep-regulating light, to make sure the new baby skills encompass all caregivers’ needs. Sadly, neither company has figured out how to add more hours to the day or make kids sleep through the night…yet.

This is Amazon’s most recent move toward becoming a one-stop-shop in the baby department after adding the Amazon Baby Registry and purchasing (and folding) Diapers.com.

All we can say is, Alexa, add baby skills plugin.
