Alexandra Breckenridge may play a midwife on Virgin River, but we suggest that her character takes up cooking, because the real-life star has really been showing off her skills on Instagram lately.

In a new video, the 41-year-old star baked a set of sourdough cinnamon rolls, with a recipe she got from The Clever Carrot. But before she got to baking, Breckenridge danced with her rolling pin while Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” played in the background.

In the time-lapsed video, we see the American Horror Story star make cinnamon rolls totally from scratch, and boy do they end up looking delicious.

Breckenridge’s followers seemed to agree, like one user who commented, “It looks amazing and incredibly yummy.” Another fan wrote, “Love all the cooking videos!!! Keep them coming!”

The Virgin River star has really been on a sourdough kick lately. Early in October, she posted a different video where she put together homemade loaves of sourdough (as well as focaccia).

In the past couple of years, the Connecticut native has been honing her cooking skills and showing off her progress on social media.

From creamy mushroom pastas to leek soups, Breckenridge has not only been whipping up all kinds of yummy-looking dishes, but she's even recruited some friends along the way to cook with her, like chef and lifestyle expert Pace Webb.

All we can say is, keep the cooking videos coming, Alex!
