Here's How to Make Bubble Tea at Home (It's Easier Than It Looks)

What is bubble tea, you ask? Nope, it’s not sparkling. It’s actually a Taiwanese drink that features milky iced tea and bubbles made of chewy tapioca or jelly, and it’s as delicious as it is fun. Instead of planning a trip across the world to try some in its native land (although we’re always down for an adventure), here’s how to mix up a glass for yourself right in your very own kitchen.

What You Need:
 - 1 cup iced black tea
 - 1 cup milk
 - 5 teaspoons sugar
 - Ice
 - Tapioca pearls or boba

Step 1: Stir the black tea, milk and sugar together in a pitcher.

Step 2: Add some ice to a glass and fill halfway with the tea mixture.

Step 3: Add a few scoops of tapioca pearls.

Step 4: Top off the glass with any remaining tea and enjoy.
