The 9 Best Places for Takeout in Miami
As much as we love cooking, sometimes it’s worth taking a break from the kitchen and treating yourself to a chef-caliber meal instead. (You’ll be supporting the local economy too, so it’s a win-win.) Here are 11 of our favorite Miami spots offering pickup, takeout and delivery.
Bless Palmar for continuing to offer Miami’s best Chinese-Latin cuisine throughout the crisis. Available for pickup via Toast Tab and delivery through Uber Eats, Postmates and GrubHub, indulge in the restaurant’s latest promotion, #PalmarEnCasa, which means you’ll enjoy the same great flavors of the Wynwood restaurant straight from your own home. We’ll take orders of the shiitake edamame dumplings, blue crab fried rice and pork belly bao buns.
2. Prime 112
Order next-level cuts of meat to cook at home or go for items off of Prime 112’s signature menu, including Kobe meatballs and crispy whole red snapper. That’s right: The iconic Miami Beach steakhouse is offering (and delivering) its award-winning meats and dishes throughout the shutdown—aka there’s no excuse not to take your weekend at-home date night up a few notches.
Zuma has long been one of our go-to Japanese spots, especially when we’re in the mood for a top-notch meal and willing to spend a little extra cash for it. For the foreseeable future, the restaurant has transformed into Zuma at Home, offering a specialized menu of takeout dishes including robata beef, maki rolls and yakitori.
Michael Beltran’s Cuban-American diner concept in Coconut Grove, Chug’s, has temporarily transformed into a takeout market stocked with everyone’s favorite comfort foods. Fresh-made breads, pastas, marinated chicken, a range of produce and more, food is available for pickup and delivery at the Coconut Grove restaurant.
5. AlterQ Wine Shop and BBQ
Until restaurant restrictions lift in Miami, Alter has reinvented itself into AlterQ, a laid-back, fast-casual spot focused on barbecue items along with wine and liquor available to go. Items up for grabs include smoked baby back ribs, fried chicken sandwiches, brioche cinnamon rolls and more. Takeout is available along with delivery via SpeedETab.
6. Night Owl Cookies
After quarantining for weeks on end, we all deserve a cookie—or five. Cue Night Owl, ready to service all your sweet cravings with curbside pickup and delivery options. Count us in for a gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with whole Oreos. Mmm.
7. Bar Taco
Offering curbside pickup and delivery, Aventura’s Bar Taco is offering one of the most unreal specials: For $35, dig into a 16-taco specialty pack stocked with salsa and chips, three sides and four large containers of proteins (chicken, steak, pork). The mega-meal is meant to feed a family of four—or, you know, you could technically nosh on it all week long. For less than the price of a margarita and entrée on a normal day at Bar Taco, this deal is too good to pass up.
8. Root & Bone, Stiltsville and Mi’talia
Top Chef culinary duo Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis are serving their award-winning food at all three of their establishments, southern-inspired Root & Bone, Italian-influenced Mi’talia and seafood spot Stiltsville. This is practically a dream come true considering we’ve dreamed about eating their fried chicken and biscuits at home for years—and now it’s actually possible.
9. El Bagel
El Bagel’s newly opened shop may not be fully operational, but the team behind some of Miami’s best bagels are still busy churning out dough. These crispy-on-the-outside, chewy-on-the-inside rounds are available for order and pickup. That means you can still enjoy smoked salmon, runny eggs and thick schmears every weekend. You’re welcome.
