You know what we’re over? Chewing things. Also: peeling things. That’s why we love this no-peel approach to homemade applesauce that’s so easy, we basically just made it in our sleep.
What you need: A few apples, a good knife, a big pot and an immersion blender.
What you do: Core and chop the apples (no peeling required) and toss them in the pot with about an inch of water. Cook on the stove over medium heat for 15 minutes, or until soft. Leave everything in the pot and use the immersion blender to achieve your desired consistency. Voilà: applesauce.
Wait, really, that’s it? Yup. You can add sugar and cinnamon to taste, or just relish in eating natural applesauce the way God intended it.
