It’s true that some holiday gatherings will look a bit different this year, but we’re still planning on dressing up for every festive occasion. While we spent last December rocking statement earrings, sparkly headbands and embellished sweaters (plus our trusty fleece sweatpants) for virtual holiday parties, this year we have a few more IRL cookie exchanges and in-person meetups on the agenda to celebrate the end of 2021. In the spirit of the season, we teamed up with Nine West to create five holiday party outfits to inspire you. (And no judgements here if you end up buying more pieces than you have parties to attend.)
What to Wear—Here, There and Anywhere—This Holiday Season
Zoom Cocktail Party
Flash That New Watch for the Camera
You know the drill: An attention-grabbing top, timepiece and earrings are key for this ensemble. But we also highly recommend cute shoes you can slip on to instantly feel more festive (even if you’re the only one who sees them).
Irl Cookie Swap
AKA Any Chance to Get Together
Two words to describe this look? Comfy and casual. You’ll need toasty over-the-knee boots, a sweater fit for sampling cookies and a tote big enough to carry your stash. Oh, and of course, a puffer jacket for getting there.
Holiday Dinner In
Deck the Halls with Iridescent Sequins
It’s the most wonderful glittery time of the year. And while you pretty much can’t go wrong with sequins of any kind this season (hello, iridescent pumps and flats), we think easy pieces—like these joggers—are the way to go. Juxtapose the flash by slipping into an oversized knit or fitted bodysuit on top.

Holiday Dinner Out
How to Look Cute and Not Freeze
Dressing up for a night out in December is often a challenge. That’s why we’re big fans of the long-sleeve mini. Team yours with even more warmth by adding a velvet blazer, then step up your shoe game with these showstopping heels.
New Year’s Fête
Because You’d Rather Be Shiny
According to one PureWow fashion editor, 2021’s biggest trend is dressing up (way up). Step out this year in the form of these amazing (and affordable) slides. We’re ready to pretend it’s the roaring ‘20s.
