Sunday at Wimbledon was one for the books: The Men’s Final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz drew a multitude of famous faces, both royal and non. Of course, all eyes were glued to the Royal Box at center court, thanks to a surprise appearance by Kate Middleton, who showed up for a second day of tennis with most of her family—Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte all included—by her side. Still, our eyes couldn’t help but observe the celeb seated kitty corner to the Princess of Wales and looking elegant as ever: It was none other than Nicole Kidman, dressed to the nines.
Nicole Kidman’s Three-Piece Suit Almost Upstaged Kate Middleton in Wimbledon’s Royal Box
Her look definitely served up an ace

To be clear, there were quite a few notable names seated close to Kate and fam: We spotted Keira Knightly, Paul Mescal and Matthew McConaughey at a glance. But Kidman, who was joined by outgoing Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, stood out for a single reason: Her menswear-inspired three-piece suit, which offered a timeless take on Wimbledon whites. The Nine Perfect Strangers star paired it with a straw hat, black square-frame sunglasses and a pearl cocktail ring. The finishing touch? Her Wimbledon-branded paper fan, an accessory that comes included at her seat. (For the record, temps in London peaked at 84 degrees yesterday.)

For her part, Kate Middleton was also a vision—this time in a custom Roksanda dress in an eye-catching blue that is fast becoming the Princess of Wales’s signature hue. It’s yet another reason to love the fashion runway that is Wimbledon. (Kate’s L.K. Bennett straw hat was yet another scene-stealer. Fashion inspo abounds.)

As for Kidman, this was her second time in a single week donning a suit. On Friday, she stepped out in head-to-toe black for the Balenciaga Fall 2025 couture show in Paris, proving the power of a monochrome look. (Also, the versatility of an all-black, then an all-white look.)

Did Kidman and Kate exchange any words during the match? The pair—along with Prince William—have overlapped at a number of glittering occasions over the years. It’s quite possible all eyes were on the competition, a total nail-biter, which Sinner ultimately won.
For us, it’s fashion with a side of tennis, the best possible combo.
