7 Different Ways to Wear Florals This Spring—No Matter Your Personal Style

It never fails: The vernal equinox rolls around and fashion everywhere explodes like a conservatory in bloom. (We can practically hear Miranda Priestly rolling her eyes.) But you know what, we still love our florals. And not only that, we believe there’s enough variety in the styles these days that you can learn to love them, too. (Yes, even you, dressed in all black.) Here are some tips for how to wear spring’s favorite pattern while staying true to your personal style.

If You Love All Things Feminine…

A head-to-toe floral wrap dress is calling your name. Chances are the print is already a big part of your wardrobe, so make room in your closet for one more. The wrap’s flattering silhouette is back with a bang this season, and we’re crushing on styles from classic Diane von Furstenberg to our favorite newcomer, Ganni.

If You Usually Wear All Black…

Try a moody floral that’s limited to two colors. Yes, black and white will work (hey, we never said you had to stop wearing it.) Sticking to the same colorway as the rest of your wardrobe keeps it from feeling like a total departure from your signature style.

If You Can’t Get Enough Color…

Go for vivid pattern play and pair an oversized floral piece with another bold print (stripes are always a smart move). Just be sure there’s a consistent hue between the two prints to make the look feel cohesive.

If You’re Fairly Minimalist…

Instead of committing to a floral piece of clothing, get your hands on a beautiful flowery scarf. Use it as your third piece and tie it around your neck, ankle, wrist or handbag for a subtle nod to the trend.

If Comfort Is Your No. 1 Priority…

Silk pajama blouses (and matching pants) were practically made for you. They’re cozy and comfortable and look ultra stylish thanks to the luxurious fabric—even if you really did just roll out of bed and throw them on.

If You Work In A Strict Corporate Office…

Play up florals on your handbags. A statement bag is an easy way to pull off the motif without having it plastered all over your body. Even better if the colors complement the rest of your look.

If You’re A Trend Fiend…

Nothing, and we mean nothing, says “2018” like monochromatic lavender florals.
