Planning a Trip to Disney World in 2026? Why the Evermore Orlando Resort Is a Dream Spot to Host a Group

Cue the family-friendly luxury

Disney World is a bucket list destination. It also often feels like a daunting trip to plan. (A recent Instagram post from a friend declared that this was finally the year they were taking the kids to Orlando alongside a plea: Where on earth should she start?) Lucky for you, I’ve found the answer: Evermore Orlando Resort will not only minimize the overwhelm, but it’s designed for families seeking convenience, luxury and, most importantly, space. Here’s my honest review.

I’ve Been to Disney World Before

On a trip two years back, which I loved, I stayed at an official Disney resort. It was on the Monorail. It had character dining. But a standard room adds up quickly and, given that it’s pretty common for Disney-bound travelers to visit as part of a larger group, it’s nice to find a spot for families to gather, but also with space to spread out.

Evermore Orlando Resort, which I had the chance to visit this past fall, is perfect for that. The thoughtfully-built destination is anchored by two unique experiences: Conrad Orlando, a more traditional luxury hotel, and Evermore Residences, which offers premium vacation homes built specifically for large families and gatherings (one home accommodates as many as 26 people). The best part? This first-of-its-kind resort encapsulates places to eat, sleep, play and swim open only to guests—all about a 15-minute Uber ride away from the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and more.

Evermore Is an Experience You Have to See to Believe

Ahead of my stay, I had a chance to speak with the architect behind Evermore’s design. A range of homes (the aforementioned Evermore Residences) on-site at the property feature as few as five bedrooms, but as many as 11. (Accommodations aren’t limited to houses either—a range of four-bedroom flats are also available and located mere steps from Evermore Bay.) Still, there was a core detail that struck me during our conversation, but also my experience checking out one of the houses myself: These are homes designed for vacation. In other words, they’re laid out with a goal of encouraging guests to congregate. Less function, more fun if you know what I mean.

But that’s a small part of what makes the Evermore experience so great, and frankly, family-friendly. What you’re paying for is the all-in-one experience that is also customizable in terms your needs. A stay at Evermore doesn’t lock you in to limited dining options or a singular pool. The beauty is in the “something for everyone” range offered on-site.

More About My Visit

Upon arrival at the resort, we were whisked to our house—luggage included—on a super-sized golf cart; we passed the resort’s 20-acre white sand beach and crystal-clear Evermore Lagoon (it’s not a pool, but rather an artificial lagoon that features sparkling blue water and activities ranging from paddleboarding to kayaking).

There’s a centrally-based market on-site for essentials (think everything from scoop-your-own candy to sunscreen), not to mention a la carte dining options, no reservations required. (My kid devoured the pizza; my husband was partial to the to-go wraps and cocktails.) There’s golf and fancier sit-down restaurants, too (for example, from Ceiba, which was not only delicious, but has a view of the Disney fireworks if you time it right). All the while, our experience felt rooted in ease and convenience, something parents—myself included—are desperate to come by.

Take the house we stayed in, for example. The outdoor area alone featured a private pool, hammock, grill, outdoor bathroom and shower, even an oversize Jenga game. (We spent hours hanging out as a family outdoors and prioritizing relaxation together as a result.) The interior featured a spacious kitchen that was outfitted with dishware and all the tools you’d need to make a home-cooked meal. (If something was missing, I’m sure you could ask for it—Evermore is that kind of experience.) Evermore also offers the option to dial in dinner delivery. (After an extra-long day at Epcot, we came home to a lasagna in the fridge, plus re-heating instructions—a dream when you’re tired and the last thing you want to do is sort take-out orders or cook.)

But as I said, this is a property built for hanging out. Features like a movie theater, game room, even a pool table, maximized opportunities for my family to simply spend time together. As a parent, I liked the feeling that—once the kids were in bed—there was a natural space to prioritize entertainment and conversation. Evermore also prides itself on being ultra-safe and secure. (Our house had its own custom entry code.)

Top-Notch Service Is the Defining Feature

One of my favorite parts of a stay at Evermore was the ability to tap into a concierge service that I could text to handle any and all questions that cropped up. Like the morning I was rushing to get to one of the Disney parks extra early, but couldn’t find a hair dryer. Or when I was curious about what was involved with receiving an Amazon delivery (my son forgot a pillow he loves to sleep with) or the status of the Evermore Lagoon re-opening after a thunderstorm. Each time, I was able to message a real person and get an immediate and useful response. (This was a service best tested when, upon packing up to leave, I realized I had misplaced one of my wedding rings, eep! I had to get to the airport, but also had an immediate point of contact who tagged in a team to search. They located it—and called me to collect shipping info—right as my plane was taking off.)

Lesson Learned: Family Travel Requires Simplicity

Throughout my stay, my husband and I chatted about exactly why Evermore felt so great. In a lot of ways, it felt like we had the best of both worlds—action-packed days at the Disney parks, then an oasis to come back to that still had plenty of options left to enjoy. (I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the giant water slide and an opportunity to roast s’mores on the beach.)

If a family vacation doesn’t make things easier, is it even worth it? Yes, a resort experience tends to be designed for that, but combining that with having your own house to go home to meant that my family truly had a place to log off, unwind and connect. And one that was big enough to fit my entire extended family should I so desire.

Bottom line: Evermore offers an experience that combines the luxury of a resort with the space—and chill vibes—of staying in a house. I can’t wait to go back.
