Alexa’s CompliBot Will Help Your Kids When They’re Down in the Dumps

Your kid’s bestie is out of town and now she’s feeling blue. You’ve tried your usual tricks (silly faces and her favorite chocolate-chip cookie) but she still won’t crack a smile. Enter Amazon Alexa’s CompliBot.

The most feel-good skill in your home assistant’s roster, CompliBot will deliver words of encouragement when you need them the most.

To get started, simply enable the skill (either on your app or online) and say “Alexa, open CompliBot.”

She’ll then proceed to shower you with compliments like, “You can do anything you set your mind to” and “You have an aura that is positively glowing today.”

She can even tell mood-boosting jokes like “You’re so cool, I need a jacket.”

The skill does come with a warning, however. “Disclaimer: CompliBot may make you want to hug your Echo, and we fully support that. However, using CompliBot as a shoulder to cry on may result in voiding your warranty if tears get in its circuitry—and is therefore not advised.”

Just don’t tell your kids about Alexa’s Insult Bot—they don’t need any more encouragement in that department.
