This Zoom Parody Video Hits Almost Too Close to Home

There’s no denying the last 12 months have been confusing, to say the least. But perhaps the biggest change that took some getting used to was working from home, five days a week.

Now, it’s a year later and Zoom meetings and get-togethers haven’t gotten any less weird (seriously, did you see the Golden Globes last night?). But, if we’ve learned anything, it’s that we have to make the best of a crappy situation. Enter this PureWow original Zoom parody of the Vengaboys' classic song “Boom Boom Boom Boom.”

Watch the full parody video below. Fair warning: It’s going to be stuck in your head for days.

The video’s official synopsis reads, “You've clinked your wine glass to an LED screen during virtual birthday parties, hosted a video bakeoff with friends and tried to stay awake for your fifteenth client meeting of the day. It's been nearly a year since we entered our first Zoom call. And through all the wifi glitches and forced waves, it's been a year too long. Let's celebrate/commiserate our Zoomiversary with a song.”

And we’re not going to lie, some of the lyrics really hit home, specifically, “Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, make sure you’re not on mute. Aunt Dawn’s trying to get in, someone send her the room PIN,” as well as, ”‘we’ll take over each other. Do you hear that echo too?”

Consider this our new work theme-song.
