Ahead of tonight’s episode of This Is Us, there’s only one question on our mind: Who is Kevin’s mystery lover?
The debate originated at Kate’s (Chrissy Metz) wedding during last week’s episode of This Is Us. It all started when Madison (Caitlin Thompson) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) found female belongings—including a bra—in Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) hotel room. While there are a few possible options, there’s enough evidence to theorize that Kevin’s mystery woman is—drumroll, please—Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge).
As you recall, Kevin met Sophie when they were kids, and they immediately became childhood sweethearts. They tied the knot at a young age and later divorced after Kevin cheated on her. Despite their rocky past, the pair always found their way back to each other through highs and lows, like Kevin’s battle with alcohol addiction. Although Sophie is still with her new husband in the flash-forward, she has far too much history with Kevin to overlook.
