Looking to add some thrills—and laughs—to your streaming queue this weekend? I’ve got you covered.

The Parenting is a horror-comedy film released on Max just yesterday but has quickly jumped to the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Heretic and Assassin's Creed.)

The film follows Josh and Rohan, a couple who are all set for a weekend getaway where they will be introducing their parents to each other for the very first time. Already sounds kind of stressful, right? Well, things are about to get even more intense as they realize that their rental comes with an unexpected guest: a 400-year-old poltergeist.

Starring Lisa Kudrow as Josh’s kind-hearted mother Liddy, the movie also features Dean Norris (Carry On) as Josh’s dad, and Brian Cox (Succession) and Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) as Rohan’s parents. White Lotus actress Parker Posey also stars as Brenda, the rental’s next door neighbor, who happens to mention that the annual Worm Moon (the spring full moon) will appear during the couple’s stay.

Intrigued? Same. If a good dose of laughter mixed in with plenty of scares (amplified by the added awkwardness of meeting the parents) sounds like your type of movie, make sure to add this one to your watch-list this weekend.
