It’s official: Ted Lasso is coming back for another season—and the mustache, the optimism and the biscuits are along for the ride. Apple TV+ confirmed on Monday, July 21, that production on the highly anticipated fourth season is officially underway. And in true Lasso fashion, the announcement came with plenty of good vibes and a few surprises.

First, yes, your faves are returning. Jason Sudeikis (a.k.a. Coach Lasso himself), Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift are all set to reprise their beloved roles.

But the new season is also getting a bit of a refresh, with several new cast members joining the squad: Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely, who’ll be playing Ted’s son, Henry.

But here’s the twist, we’re not in Richmond anymore. Season four marks a big location change, with principal photography kicking off in Kansas City (Sudeikis’s hometown) and additional filming taking place in London. The team? A second division women’s football club. Ted’s challenge? Coaching them to greatness with the same heart, humor and signature optimism that made the original series such a phenomenon.

As a quick refresher, Ted Lasso started as a character in a series of NBC Sports promos, before becoming a multi-Emmy-winning hit series. The show follows an American football coach hired to lead an English soccer team. What began as a setup for failure turned into one of the most feel-good shows of the last decade and a comfort watch that helped a lot of us through the pandemic.

And yes, season three left us with so many unanswered questions. Did Keeley choose Roy or Jamie? Why wasn’t Ted at Coach Beard’s wedding? Are he and his wife back together?

We don’t have all the answers (yet) but with season four officially happening, there’s hope we’ll finally get some closure.

In the meantime, all three seasons of Ted Lasso are streaming now on Apple TV+. Biscuits optional but highly encouraged.
