The clip introduces viewers to the terrifying storyline, which documents a mission to Mars that’s doomed from the start. The chaos begins shortly after launch, when the crew finds an unexpected stowaway onboard.
When he accidentally damages the spaceship, the astronauts are forced to rely on emergency resources and make an impossible decision as they try to avoid the worst possible outcome. Dun dun dunnn.
“There’s no easy way to say this. Life support is damaged permanently. We only have enough oxygen onboard for three people,” an astronaut says. Another adds, “Everyone onboard will suffocate before we ever make it to Mars.”
In addition to Kendrick, Stowaway also stars Daniel Dae Kim (The Divergent Series: Insurgent), Shamier Anderson (Race) and Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense). The movie was directed by Joe Penna (Arctic), who also penned the screenplay alongside Ryan Morrison (Release).
Stowaway will hit Netflix on Thursday, April 22 (AKA Earth Day), so be sure to mark your calendars.
