It’s only been a couple of months since the long-awaited sixth season of Black Mirror premiered on Netflix. And if you’ve already watched the latest installment from start to finish, allow us to introduce you to the drama series, Red Rose, which is a show every fan of the U.K. sci-fi series should have on their watch list.

With a perfect rating of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, Red Rose follows a group of high school students who discover a mysterious app that promises to give them anything they ask for. Money? It’s yours. Power? Done and done.

However, the teenagers soon learn there is a price to pay for their magical “fairy godmother” and they must give in to the app’s demands before it reveals their deepest, darkest secrets.

Not only will Black Mirror watchers enjoy this show, but fans of the popular teen drama, Pretty Little Liars, will like the series as well. Only this time, there is no mysterious “A” sending anonymous text messages, but rather someone (or maybe something) blackmailing the group of friends for reasons unknown.

In the first episode, we are introduced to a high school student named Rochelle (Isis Hainsworth), who tries out “Red Rose” after a classmate sends her the link to the app.

As a viewer, it’s hard not to sympathize with Rochelle because she’s still a young child herself, but she is struggling to take care of her twin sisters after their mother tragically passes away.

While watching, we found it so easy to get sucked into the story of Red Rose because of the show’s complicated characters and exciting mystery. While the storyline does a great job of capturing the viewer’s attention with its unwavering suspense and intriguing supernatural element, what really makes the show an absolute binge-watch is the show’s ability to keep the viewer guessing until the very end.

Don’t worry, we won’t give anything away. But, we will say the first episode ends on the *biggest* cliffhanger—hence why we clicked the next episode in a heartbeat.

Red Rose will leave you both confused and curious—which, if you ask us, makes this show an instant must-watch for Black Mirror fans.

As of writing this article, Red Rose has not yet been renewed for a second season. But after watching the first installment, we must know what happens next.
